New Letter Format

In the next few weeks, you're going to notice some changes to our letter format. We're going to start introducing scanned copies of all letters the ladies send to you. Shortly, all clients will receive a scanned copy of the ladies original letter with ever letter they receive from the lady, regardless of if you ask us to translate the letter for you or not. Those clients using our translation service will receive both a typed, translated version, and additionally, a scanned copy of the ladies original letter, usually in Russian. Those clients not using our translation service will continue to receive the scanned copy of the ladies original letter, as they currently do.

So why are we doing this? Well the answer is simple, to improve the level of service we give to our clients and to differentiate us from some of the less desirable aspects of our industry. As I'm sure many of you are aware, we are not alone in providing marriage introduction services to ladies from the former USSR. There are many 'mon and pop' agencies, as our American collegues like to call them, operating in the former USSR. The quality, and more importantly, the honesty of these agencies varies dramatically from those who do a very good job, to those which are just a front for prostitution or where no real ladies actually exist, and are just there rip off naive westerners. There are also a number of large US based agencies, all of which, I'm afriad, opt for the impersonal group tour market, which, take it from me, is one of the worst options you can get for finding a partner for a lasting marriage. You might think, that being based in the US, that like Blue Sapphires, they would operate on a western code of ethics, but like many western organisations, these days, some of them seem more concerned with profit than providing a good service. As we've mentioned in previous newsletters, we know that at least of of our large US counterparts is happy to allow it's staff in the former UsSR to answer clients letters in place of the lady the guy thinks he's writing to. Sad, but that's the way it is, I'm afraid.

Providing clients with scanned copies of the ladies original letter allows us to demonstrate that the ladies are replying to clients letters and that the replies are not being written by anyone else. Everyone's handwriting is different, and should anyone start writing the ladies replies for them, it's going to be noticed by everyone pretty dam quick. None of our competitors would contemplate providing this level of service, and you'd have to ask yourself why that would be? Would it allow customers to see too many holes in thier practices and how little care is taken with correspondence? Could it be that it would allow clients to see the parts of letters removed by agencies? We've always believed in full disclosure and providing a service which clients choose to use, rather than are forced to use. Will our competitors follow, I doubt it, but that's thier business. We've not become the largest European agency by following the heard, we've always been the people other agencies look towards to set the standard, and now we've moving the standard just that little bit higher.

Tour changes

We're also going to be introducing some changes to the way our tours work to make them more inline with what our clients have been telling us they want. Our standard tour package is a fixed price for whatever city you wish to visit, which includes airport/train station collection and meeting with as many ladies as you wish, with a personal secretary who takes care of arranging all the meetings etc. We're going to be allowing our clients to tailor this somewhat, so you can book different classes of accomodation, excursions, local car hire, or simply accomodation only if you wish. Will also be allowing clients to travel to a number of cities within the same country and book transfers with us, so you could stay at Kiev and book a transfer by private car to Sevastopol, or a transfer from your appartment to the train station and a train ticket to Sevastopol etc. The services, and cost of each service, will vary on a city to city basis. This will allow even more flexiability for our clients. We're the only major player to run one to one, personal tours, allowing you to select where you want to go and who you want to meet. We don't introduce you to five to ten ladies all at once, around a crowded table where they all compete for your attention, wher the guy often ends up with the lady who's most forward, but often the least suitable marriage partner. No, we run everything on a personal basis, taking care of your needs and that of your potential wife, arranging meeting in a suitable setting of your chosing, not some seedy night club or hotel. At most we accomodate one to two clients in a particular city every week, so we can provide the level or service our clients want, a personal, service, not one where your just one of have a dozen guys, who may or may not meet the right girl.

One other change you'll see is that we now have ladies who only wish to meet clients who are already in thier city and do not wish to enter into a period of correspondence before meeting. Although the chances of 'hitting it off' are increased tremendiously by having a period of correspondence, as it allows you to weed out those ladies who are clearly uncompatiable, we have a number of ladies are just too busy or simply not interested in writing letter. They'd love to meet guys seriously interested in marriage, and if you're in thier particular town, then feel have an evening out and see how the two of you get on.

You'll now find on the ladies pages, a new field, 'Introduction Credits'. Previously, we used to give you 30 free address credits to meet ladies on our tours, and now We're replacing this with introduction credits, which can be purchased at the time of booking a tour or at any time at one of our local offices. These can be redemed at one of our offices, where we arrange a meeting for you. We provide you with the ladies contact details when you purchase them or write her a letter, so you are of course welcome to contact her and arrange the meeting yourself. We're breaking down the servives we previously provided as a package and allowing you to pick and choose what suits you, so if you'd like us to arrange everything as we previously did, we can, but if you're only meeting one lady, then the tour costs are greatly reduced.
