Christmas

Doesn't it suck to be all alone at Christmas, when you'd give the world to spend just a few days with Natash/Irina/Olga/Tatyana over that special time? I remember, when I used to write to the girls, before I got married myself, how it used to make me smile when I'd receive a letter from someone. It was like someone reached out and touched you, and for that moment, you were not alone anymore. Christmas is a time we think about such things, where our life is going, what we want from life, and what we can do to ensure that happens. Christmas is a time of family and joy, when we take time out of our hectic lives to think about those around us and those who may be far away, who we wish were here.

It's no different for the girls you know, they think about the guys just as much. For whatever reason, be it loneliness, a desire for a better life, a desire to have simply have a choice, to have the opportunity to have something better for themselves and their children. They comes to us, sign up with the hope we'll find them that someone special. For those girls who are pretty, speak English and have no children, they have a good chance of finding someone, but for the average looking girl, all too often she is passed by. We have some 28,000 ladies hoping we'll be able to help them find their special person, and we do our best for to help each and every one.

Christmas is a busy time for us, our staff are currently running off their feet organising gifts from our clients to the ladies they've been writing to. It's amazing to see the number of gifts we've shipped out this week, and the photos of the girls pictured with their flowers, candy, cuddly toys etc. It nice to see we bring a lot of happiness to an otherwise very cold world. In the former USSR, there are actually two Christmas periods, western one, and the Orthodox one on January 7th. If you've ever been lucky enough to stay in Russia during the Orthodox Christmas, it's quite an affair, with meals and parties every day. I've never found the Russian people ever needed too much an excuse for a party. We have some clients who'll be staying with us over this period, in various cities, and I'm sure they have a great time. I know I'd much rather be there, than home, with nothing to look forward to by starting work a few days after New Year. Sure we'll spend time with out mates, go out to parties, get drunk, have a good time over the festive period, may even get 'lucky' on a night or two, but at the end of it all, the one we'd really like to spend time with, is thousands of miles away. The best we can do is show her we're thinking of her, for you can be sure she's thinking of you.

Forum

Many people have now noticed we're running a forum to allow our clients to talk about issues to do with finding a Russian wife, and share their experiences with one another. Please feel free to sign up and join in, the more people take part, the more useful the resource will become.

Ukraine

As I'm sure everyone must now have realised, the Ukraine recently went through a bit of problem with the validity of it's recent election. I see the pictures on Ukrainian TV and find it strange to see Independence Square filled with tents. I stayed there the last time I was in Kiev, and one of the guys who runs our offices in the Ukraine actually lives there. The Ukrainian courts recently declared the election invalid and ordered it to be re-run, which will take place in due course. It's very likely the opposition will be elected, and as a consequence, The Ukraine will move closer to the west and away from it's old ties with Russia. One of our clients who was in Kiev, Brad, actually meet a girl there. They spent some time together and will see each other again soon, so you never really know how things will turn out when a client comes to meet some of the ladies. I hope it works out for the two of them.

The year is at an end

It's been an interesting year for our business and our site. We've seen the number of ladies who've signed up with us grow and grow, and the number of marriages we've helped arrange continue to grow. Considering we started out with one agency, in one town, and we now have something in the order of eighty of so offices all over the former USSR, we've grown quite a lot since our humble beginning back in the late 90's. A lot of this, however, is due to the feedback we receive from our clients, telling us how we can do better, and what we can do to provide a better service. Thank you for all your help over these past years, and I hope we'll be able to continue to help in pairing people up, and bring a little joy to peoples lives.

I hope everyone has an enjoyable Christmas and New Year, so let me everyone all the best for this festive period.
